Ada fitur yang cuma buat pemanis, ada yang buat bumbu komedi di game, tapi banyak juga yang penting buat gameplay. Misalnya, semakin jauh lo main, lo bakal bisa ubah grafis antara 2D dan 3D dengan bebas. Nanti ada beberapa level yang cuman bisa dilewatin kalo game di tampilan 3D dan gak bisa kalo di 2D, begitu juga sebaliknya. Ini bikin game jadi punya puzzle unik karena player harus ubah grafis tergantung situasi. Evoland punya berbagai teknologi game dari yang paling kuno sampe yang modern. Lo bisa serang musuh langsung pake berbagai senjata dan nyawa karakter lo diwakilin sama tiga hati di layar. Ada juga pertarungan turn-based ala Final Fantasy klasik, dan mode dungeon crawling seperti Diablo atau Torchlight. Pertarungan di mode ini cukup seru, musuh bakal sering drop item tapi sayangnya cuma bisa dipake di dungeon.
